Boat Safety Scheme Advisory Committee

Boat Safety Scheme Advisory Committee

The Boating Association has provided essential input into the Boat Safety Scheme since it’s introduction. Continuing this link is considered important by the committee and hence we are looking for someone to undertake this role as a ‘User Group’ representative.

The person does not need any particular technical knowledge except an understanding of boating and the application of the Boat Safety Scheme. The Advisory Committee is made up of boater, examiner, navigation authorities and boating trade representatives and all potential issues/changes are discussed by the committee as part of the process.

The Advisory Committee meets three times a year at Hatton Locks in Warwickshire and correspondence is via email and a web site.

If you are interested in carrying out this role for The Boating Association please contact Jon Skinner at
