A review of CRT’s records of incidents for 2022 identifies two areas in particular we
should be wary of.
Out of 93 total incidents recorded 63 were categorised as; Fire/Explosion (including ‘immediate risk of’), 22 for capsizing, grounding, stranding and sinking including lock hang-ups.
We wanted to share these statistics publically and reiterate we want all our boaters to be safe and ask you to take particular care in these circumstances.
