Vessel: Tarka – Norwegian Wikingboat

As outgoing Chairman Jon becomes a lifelong Ambassador for the Association.

I grew up boating, my family was based on the River Soar at Soar Boating Club.

We started with day boats, converted an old Boston fishing boat and my father then built his own boat! I’m based at Farndon these days and love to cruise up and down the Trent and Ouse. The trip across The Wash to Wells is always great fun too.

Out Boat ‘Tarka’ is the only one of its kind in the UK. She is a Norwegian Wikingboat built in 1980.

Give us a wave if you see us out there.
