Make the most of your boating season with TBANav’s TBA Skipper subscription, developed by The Boating Association for boaters who regularly navigate the River Trent, River Ouse and connected inland waterways.
TBA Skipper provides access to our most comprehensive journey-planning assessments, combining vessel-specific passage information with additional operational guidance and navigation resources.
Whether planning a single passage or exploring the waterways throughout the season, TBA Skipper is designed to help you prepare for your journeys with greater confidence.

Important — Seasonal Subscription Validity
The TBA Skipper subscription operates exclusively from 1 April to 30 September each year.
Your £29.97 contribution provides access only for the remainder of the current boating season, regardless of your purchase date.
For example:
- Purchased 1 April: Access until 30 September — approximately six months.
- Purchased 1 July: Access until 30 September — approximately three months.
- Purchased 1 September: Access until 30 September — approximately one month.
The subscription price remains £29.97 throughout the season and is not reduced for purchases made later in the year.
All subscriptions expire on 30 September, irrespective of when they were purchased.
A new subscription is required for the following boating season. There is no automatic renewal.
